After a morning pick up in Reykjavik you will head towards the stunning South Coast of Iceland. The South Coast holds many of Iceland's top attractions. During this full day tour you will visit some of the island's most precious sites in a small group setting, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide and in the comfort of an airconditioned minibus.
After a breahtaking drive along the south shore, passing charming small farms and towns you will arrive at the unique Seljanaldsfoss waterfall, the first stop of the day. Seljalandsfoss is best known for the fact that you can walk behind the cascading fall, enjoying it from both sides. Close by you will come across Seljalandsfoss neighbouring fall of Gljúfrabúi. Quite hidden, Gljufrabui lies inside a cave within the crack of a cliff rock. Gljufrabui is a popular stop for a memorable photo opportunity.
From Gljúfrabúi you will accompany your guide to the mighty waterfall of Skogafoss, one of Iceland's most visited attractions and that for a good reason. The cascading fall drops 197 ft in a width of 80 ft. Rainbows at this site are a common site due to the power of the fall creating a very memorable experience.
After exploring some of the island's most known waterfalls you will make your way to Solheimasandur black sand beach where the famous US Navy DC-3 plane wreck lies. The wreck and its location has created a dramatic setting very much adored by photographers. From the wreck you will visit Solheimajokull glacier for a short walk in the valley to enjoy the mesmerizing look of the glacier tongue and its glacier lagoon.
Last but certainly not least is Reynisfjara black sand beach. Stroll along the beach and explore the basalt column cave and admire the sight of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks peaking up from the Atlantic ocean before starting to make your way back to Reykjavik.
