The Amazon Tour is a full-day excursion to the Hola Vida Ecological Reserve, located in the province of Pastaza, Ecuador. The reserve is a wildlife sanctuary that is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The tour offers visitors the opportunity to explore the rainforest, learn about indigenous culture, and experience the natural beauty of the Amazon.

Itinerary
9:00 AM: Depart Baños for the city of Puyo.
10:00 AM: Arrive at the “Mira Mera” viewpoint. Visit the viewpoint and enjoy the panoramic views.
10:30 AM: Continue the journey to the Kichwa community of Wayuri.
11:00 AM: Arrival at the Wayuri Kichwa Community. Cultural exchange with the community, learning about their way of life, participating in activities such as blowpipe practice, achiote painting, and traditional dancing, and admiring their handicrafts.
12:30 PM: Canoe ride on the Puyo River (approximately 45 minutes).
1:00 PM: Traditional lunch in the community, featuring “maito de tilapia” and “Wayusa.”
2:00 PM: Hike to the “Hola Vida” waterfall (approximately 1-hour round trip). Enjoy a refreshing swim at the waterfall and observe the local flora and fauna.
3:00 PM: Visit to the “Indichuris” viewpoint. Admire the Amazonian landscape and take photographs.
04:00 PM: Visit to a local family dedicated to cocoa cultivation and processing. Participation in the preparation of organic chocolate using traditional artisanal techniques.
Approx. 5:30 PM: Return to Baños.
