Grainán of Aileach is probably one of the best known monuments in Inishowen, County Donegal. Situated on a hilltop 250m above sea level the view from the stone fort are breath-taking. Although steeped in History the views alone are worth the visit with the incredible positioning of the fort on a cleared hilltop providing a complete 360-degree panoramic view.
