Funchal will be our starting point where we will begin ascending towards the third highest point in Madeira. On the way, our first stop will be at Terreiro da Luta. It's a place known for its panoramic view over Funchal, the capital city of Madeira. Additionally, it is a site that symbolises resistance against pirate invasions that Madeira suffered in the past.
Pico do Arieiro

Pico do Areeiro is our next stop where we will spend approximately . It is the third highest peak in Madeira, standing at 1818 meters. Here, you'll have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking views of Madeira's mountainous terrain, including the neighbouring peaks and valleys. On clear days, you may even have an ocean view.

Descending from Pico, your guide will navigate some off-road tracks. We will then make a stop at Poiso. This is a local mountain restaurant where we invite you to try poncha, our traditional drink. Here the magic happens in front of your eyes, so you can witness the entire process of the poncha-making and, of course, taste it - as fresh as it gets.

Our expedition continues in Santana, where we visit the iconic thatched roof houses, symbols of Madeira's rural heritage. Thatching is considered an art form in Madeira, and skilled craftsmen carefully construct and maintain these roofs, passing down their knowledge from generation to generation.
