What you can expect

Experience the best of North Kyushu's coast: scenic bridges, fresh local markets, a dreamy shrine by the sea, and a million-dollar night view.

Please note:
Summer (May 1 – Sep 30): depart 12:00 PM.
Winter (Oct 1 – Apr 30): depart 10:00 AM.

  1. Kanmon Bridge Drive-By View (approx. 10 min)
Cross the bridge linking Honshu & Kyushu, enjoy stunning strait views – blue sea, ships, and coastline. A perfect start.

  2. Karato Market / Mojiko Retro District (approx. 60 min, incl. lunch)
Karato Market – “the Kitchen of Kanmon” – is a lively fishermen's market with fresh seafood, snacks, and crafts. Try sushi (own expense) and soak in the local vibe.
IMPORTANT: The market is open Friday–Sunday; closed every Wednesday, plus Mar 4, 11, 25 (check with CS for latest). If closed on your visit, we will visit Mojiko Retro District instead – OR you may choose a full refund for this stop (contact us to decide). Mojiko is a nostalgic old port with Western-style buildings, retro cafes, and unique shops – great for photos and exploration.

  3. Motonosumi Shrine (approx. 60 min)
CNN-listed among Japan’s “31 Most Beautiful Places.” Walk through 123 crimson torii gates along the cliff toward the sea – stunning red‑and‑blue contrast. Try the lucky coin toss. Note: Worship area closed weekends, national holidays, May 2‑10 & Aug 8‑16; coastal torii remain open.

  4. Mount Sarakura Night View (approx. 90 min)
Kitakyushu's top night view – the “Million-Dollar View” (one of Japan's New Three Great Night Views). Ropeway optional (own expense); if ropeway closed, alternative spots (Akama Shrine/Fukuoka Tower) arranged.

A wonderful day along North Kyushu's blue coastline – from Kanmon Bridge to lively markets, the dreamy shrine, and breathtaking night views. Every moment blends nature, culture, and urban charm, leaving unforgettable memories.

Departure: Summer 12:00 PM / Winter 10:00 AM.
Market visit: On open days we visit Karato; on closed days we offer Mojiko or a full refund for that portion – your choice.
