What you can expect

  • If you enjoy being close to nature without the demands of strenuous hiking, this experience is for you. Escape into the natural beauty of the Southern Highlands on a private full-day tour — a relaxed, unhurried journey through dramatic landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and charming countryside, suitable for all fitness levels.
Your day begins with a convenient door-to-door pickup from your chosen location between Thirroul and Wollongong, between 8:30 and 9:00 am. As your private local guide, I'll take care of everything — so all you need to do is show up and enjoy the journey.
We begin at Hindmarsh Lookout, where dramatic escarpment views stretch across Kangaroo Valley and set the tone for the day ahead. We continue along the rim, moving between carefully positioned vantage points before reaching Belmore Falls, where water flows gracefully into the forested valley below.
Next, we head to Fitzroy Falls — an iconic highlight of Morton National Park. Stand at the edge and take in the commanding views of the 80-metre waterfall as it plunges into a sandstone gorge carved over millennia. The surrounding escarpment and expansive valley scenery showcase the raw, untouched beauty of this remarkable landscape.
We then continue to the picturesque village of Robertson — the “Green Heart” of the Southern Highlands. Cool-climate countryside and rolling dairy pastures frame this charming country town, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a bite to eat.
The final stop is Carrington Falls, where powerful waters surge through a dramatic gorge within Budderoo National Park. From the scenic viewing platforms, experience the scale and force of the falls — a memorable finale to a beautiful day.
This thoughtfully paced full-day tour runs approximately 6 to 7 hours, with short, easy walks on well-maintained paths suitable for all fitness levels. Plenty of time is given at each stop to take photos, soak in the views, and simply enjoy the moment.
This is the Southern Highlands as it should be experienced — personal, unhurried, and unforgettable.
