- Note: the two days may run in either order depending on departure date (Package A starts with the Columbia Icefield; Package B starts with Lake Louise). Moraine Lake is generally open June 1 to mid-October; refer to Banff National Park’s official announcement for actual dates.

What you can expect

Pack nature, history, and big-city energy into three days on this small-group round trip from Washington, D.C., with two hotel nights and round-trip transport included.

Day one travels north to Niagara Falls by way of the Corning Museum of Glass, with a large glass collection on display and live demonstrations. You reach Niagara by evening for the mandatory in-depth night tour, taking in Goat Island and Luna Island as Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls glow under colored lights. When fireworks are scheduled, you'll be there to see them. Overnight is right at the falls.

Day two starts with the optional Classic Tour: Whirlpool State Park, the Cave of the Winds at the foot of the falls, and the Maid of the Mist boat ride into the mist below. Afterward, travel to New York for the night.

Day three is a guided New York City Fortune Tour through the financial district, passing Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, Trinity Church, the Charging Bull, and Times Square. You can add optional skyline views from the One World Observatory and a Liberty Cruise past the Statue of Liberty before the drive back to Washington, D.C.

Day 2: Niagara Falls Classic Tour (optional, 2.5 hrs; Whirlpool State Park - Cave of the Winds - Maid of the Mist) - New York

Note: the Maid of the Mist usually operates late April to October; after it closes for the season, this stop is not visited.
