This day trip from Warsaw takes you to Treblinka II Extermination Camp Memorial and Museum, one of the most important Holocaust memorial sites in Poland. Hidden in a forest near Małkinia, Treblinka II was the second-deadliest Nazi German extermination camp, where around 900,000 Jews were murdered during World War II as part of Operation Reinhard.

Travel with an English-speaking guide who provides historical context during the journey, explaining Nazi occupation, the Holocaust in occupied Poland, and Treblinka’s role within the German extermination system. The drive also allows time for questions and preparation before arriving at the site.

Your visit begins at the Treblinka Museum, where exhibitions present historical artefacts, documents, photographs, survivor testimonies, and a detailed scale model of the camp. A short documentary film helps explain how the extermination process operated.

Next, follow the symbolic railway tracks into the former camp area. Although the original buildings were destroyed by Nazi forces in 1943, the open memorial field and stone installations mark the locations of key structures. The visit ends at the powerful central monument, made up of more than 17,000 stone markers, each representing a destroyed Jewish community.

Throughout the tour, your guide explains the deportations to Treblinka, the daily reality of the camp, and the prisoner uprising of August 1943, which led to its closure. The experience is conducted at a calm, respectful pace, with time for quiet reflection before returning to Warsaw.

Please note: This tour visits Treblinka II (extermination camp) only. Treblinka I (labor camp) is not included.
