Depart from your centrally-located accommodation in Tunis and head to Dougga, the best-preserved Roman small town in North Africa. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Dougga is a 6th-century, former Punic, Berber, and Roman settlement spread out over 65 hectares.

Your visit to Dougga begins with the theater, whose splendor remains unchallenged. Built in 168 AD by one of the town's wealthier occupants, Marcus Quadratus, the theater can seat up to 3,500 people. It is from here that you find the residential quarter, temples, and extensive Licinian Baths.

Wander the vast grounds, inevitably stumbling upon the many choice spots for photographing the capital. After an enriching half-day tour, return to your hotel in Tunis.
