This expertly curated day tour offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and unique experiences, all while traveling in comfort. Witness iconic Japanese scenery, from tranquil lakes and volcanic valleys to the majestic presence of Mount Fuji.
Your Adventure Begins:
Your day starts with a convenient meet-up at 07:50 AM at the JR Tokyo Station Marunouchi North Exit, or with a direct pick-up from your hotel in Tokyo's 12 wards (for select hotel接送套餐, minimum 2 people required). Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.
Hakone Shrine & Lake Ashi Torii Gate (10:00 AM - 40 mins): Your first stop is the serene Lake Ashi, a picturesque crater lake formed 3,000 years ago. Here, you'll visit the iconic red torii gate standing gracefully in the water, a symbol of the historic Hakone Shrine. This sacred site, dedicated to the revered “Hakone Daimyojin,” offers a perfect reflection of the gate and, on clear days, Mount Fuji itself against the calm lake surface.
Hakone Amphibious Ninja Bus (11:10 AM - 20 mins): Experience the thrill of the Ninja Bus, a unique water-and-land vehicle themed after the legendary ninja's “water spider.” Departing from Hakone-en, this exciting ride plunges into Lake Ashi for a 20-minute cruise, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and, weather permitting, Mount Fuji. Fun ninja-themed narration adds to the excitement. (Fees: approx. 2,500-2,700 JPY, paid locally. If unavailable, alternative sightseeing will be arranged.)
Hakone Ropeway (12:10 PM - 30 mins): Next, board the Hakone Ropeway from Togendai Station heading towards Owakudani. This aerial cable car ride provides stunning panoramic views—first over Lake Ashi and then, thrillingly, directly above the steaming volcanic vents of Owakudani. Keep your camera ready for the best views of Mount Fuji along this route. (Ropeway fee: approx. 2,000 JPY, paid locally.)
Owakudani Volcanic Valley (12:40 PM - 50 mins): Arrive at Owakudani, a dramatic volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs formed during a major eruption 4,000 years ago. Walk along the nature trail to feel the raw power of the Earth. A must-try is the famous Kuro-Tamago (black eggs), cooked in the sulfuric hot springs. Legend says eating one extends your life by seven years!
Lake Yamanaka Swan Shore (2:40 PM - 30 mins): Travel to the Fuji Five Lakes region. At Lake Yamanaka's “Swan Shore,” you'll find a large, friendly population of swans. This is a prime spot for capturing beautiful photos with the graceful swans and the magnificent backdrop of Mount Fuji.
Lawson's Fuji Viewpoint (3:20 PM - 20 mins): Visit the charming Lawson convenience store near Lake Kawaguchi. Its modern facade, framed by the majestic Mount Fuji and the lake, has become a beloved and surprisingly picturesque photo spot for travelers seeking that perfect “iconic Japan” shot.
Return to Tokyo around 6:00 PM
