Begin your journey with a visit to the 13th-century Ardenica Monastery, perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of the Myzeqe plains. Explore the Church of St. Mary, adorned with stunning frescoes and old icons, and wander through the peaceful courtyard and library. Remember to dress modestly and maintain a quiet demeanor, as this is an active monastery.

Next, head to the Apollonia Archaeological Park, one of the most important ancient cities in the Balkans. Founded in 588 BC by Greeks from Corinth, this site is steeped in history. Marvel at the well-preserved Roman theater facade with its six columns, explore the museum housed in the 13th-century Monastery of St. Mary, and discover the foundations of the library and stoa where Emperor Augustus studied.
