What you can expect

  • Our transfer service from the door of your hotel in Tikal National Park to San Ignacio or Belize City is organized as follows:
  • 6:00 AM: We pick you up at your hotel in Tikal National Park. The driver will have a list with your names. We board our transportation vehicle and drive for approximately 40 minutes until we reach the Ixlu junction (where Tikal, Flores, and the border with Belize meet). At this point, we will change buses (change coordinated by us) and board the shared bus that will take us to our destination.
  • Immigration Forms will be provided for the Immigration process to enter Belize. We drive for an hour and a half until we reach the Guatemala-Belize border.
  • At the border, we get off the bus to complete the immigration and customs procedures.
  • The procedures are personal; all travelers must carry their own luggage.
  • At the border, we'll find shops to buy drinks and snacks.
  • First, we complete the procedures at the Guatemalan Immigration Office, and then we walk 100 meters to reach the Belizean Immigration Office.
  • If any passenger has problems with Immigration, there will be a 20-minute wait; otherwise, our transportation unit must continue.
  • After completing the immigration procedures, we'll board the bus again and drive for approximately 25 minutes until we reach our first destination, San Ignacio.
  • Passengers whose destination is San Ignacio will be dropped off at hotels in downtown San Ignacio (Hold House, Bellas Backpackers, Yellow Belly).
  • After our stop in San Ignacio, we continue on to Belize City. We drive for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes more until we reach our second destination.
  • In Belize City, we arrive at the San Pedro Belize Express Terminal (Belize City), where you can take ferry connections to Caye Caulker and San Pedro Ambergris, as well as a taxi if you are going to Belize International Airport.
  • At the San Pedro Belize Express Terminal, you'll find shops, restaurants, and a taxi service.
