What you can expect

  • Discover the natural beauty and rural life of Estonia on a full-day trip from Tallinn to Lahemaa National Park – a landscape of forests, wetlands, historic manor estates and picturesque coastal villages.

Start the journey with a stop at Jägala Waterfall before continuing towards Lahemaa. Walk along the wooden boardwalk of Viru Bog, where you can experience one of Estonia's most characteristic natural landscapes and, in warmer months, even take a swim in a bog lake.
Continue deeper into the national park to discover its historic villages and Baltic Sea coastline. Visit Käsmu, known as the Captains' Village, and explore the traditional fishing village of Altja. Along the way, enjoy a light 2-course lunch at a local restaurant and experience some of the flavours of Estonian countryside cooking.
Depending on the day's conditions and timing, the final part of the tour may include a short nature walk near Altja or a visit to Vihula Manor, where you can explore the historic manor surroundings and its small museums.
Travelling in a small group by car or minivan allows for a relaxed pace and some flexibility along the way. The experience combines nature, local history, coastal culture and everyday life, offering a varied introduction to Estonia beyond Tallinn.

The exact route and order of stops may vary depending on weather, season and local conditions.
