Above ground, the Enrichment Factory showcases the process of oil shale energy production and offers insights into the future of energy. Next, take a short stop in the charming coastal town of Sillamäe. Stroll through the town and learn about the uniqueness of the Ida-Viru region. In the 19th century, Sillamäe was a popular resort town, attracting notable figures like composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky and physiologist Ivan Pavlov.

However, during the Soviet era, it became a secret city, not appearing on maps, due to its uranium enrichment plant that contributed to the Soviet nuclear program. The town was built in the Stalinist neoclassical style, giving it a distinctive architectural character.
