Meet your guide or driver-guide at your selected meeting point: Odori Park at 08:30 or JR Sapporo Station North Exit Bus Parking Area at 08:45, then depart for Cape Kamui.
At Cape Kamui, admire the famous deep-blue “Shakotan Blue” sea and panoramic coastal scenery. Once known as a mysterious “forbidden place for women,” the area is now popular with photographers and nature lovers. Please note that from October 5, 2026, until early April 2027, the walking trail from the “Women Prohibited Gate” to the tip of Cape Kamui will be temporarily closed for maintenance.
Continue to Shimamui Coast, selected as one of Japan’s “Top 100 Coastlines.” Walk through a short tunnel to the viewpoint and enjoy the crystal-clear sea, where mint green blends beautifully with Shakotan Blue.
From late June to mid-October, choose between the Yoichi Distillery Museum or a fruit-picking experience at Nitori Tourist Orchard or Yamamoto Orchard (approx. 30 min; additional fee). Outside this period, all guests will visit the Yoichi Distillery Museum. Founded by Masataka Taketsuru, the “father of Japanese whisky,” the distillery introduces the history and production of Nikka whisky. This itinerary includes the museum and exterior views only; it does not include a guided factory tour or access to the distillation facilities.
Finally, visit Otaru, a romantic port city famous for the historic Otaru Canal, red-brick warehouses, and local food. The tour ends at JR Sapporo Station North Exit Bus Parking Area at approximately 18:30. The tour does not return to Odori Park.

Fruit-picking is available from late June to mid-October only and is subject to orchard availability on the day. If fruit-picking is unavailable, guests will visit the Yoichi Distillery Museum instead. Fruit varieties requiring advance reservations are not included. Fruit-picking fees are not included in the tour price
