Discover the French Basque Country with a Biarritz tour from San Sebastian that blends Atlantic scenery, history, and local flavour in a day designed to be enjoyed without rush.

We begin in stately Biarritz, the nineteenth-century holiday retreat of European royalty, where the Grande Plage, the Rocher de la Vierge, the Casino, and the Hôtel du Palais sketch the most glamorous profile of the coast; your guide will share Belle Époque anecdotes, photogenic corners, and recommendations for a seaside bite on this must-do Biarritz tour.

We continue to Bayonne, the sweet capital of Basque-French chocolate and the confluence of the Nive and Adour rivers, to wander the Grand Bayonne, visit the Cathédrale Sainte-Marie, peek into the market, and soak up neighbourhood life among half-timbered façades and artisan shops on a complete Bayonne tour.

With a bilingual local guide (Spanish and English) and private transport, this Biarritz and Bayonne from San Sebastian itinerary is the most comfortable way to grasp the contrasts of “a different country, the same culture”: imperial architecture facing the Cantabrian Sea, medieval alleyways scented with cocoa, bridges over the estuary, and the hospitality of a land that shares roots with Donostia.

If you are looking for a comfortable, authentic, and enriching day trip from San Sebastian that brings together heritage, coastal strolling, and gastronomic essence, this route is made for you.
