Embark on a 3-day tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats from San Pedro de Atacama. Visit the Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde, and the Salvador Dalí Desert. See the geysers of Sol de Mañana and the Laguna Colorada. Spend the night in a hostel in Villamar and a hotel in Colcha K.
Day 1:
Start your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama. Head to the Chile-Bolivia border. After passing through the offices and completing the necessary procedures, change to a 4x4 vehicle for 6 people.
Visit the Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Continue to the Salvador Dalí Desert and the Polques hot springs. Take a dip in the hot springs before visiting the Sol de Mañana geysers.
See the Laguna Colorada, a nesting site for over 30,000 flamingos. Spend the night in a hostel in Villamar.
Day 2:
Visit the Valley of Rocks, the Copa del Mundo, and the Lost Italy. See the volcanic rock formations that resemble an abandoned city. Visit the Camel, Sora, and Laguna Misteriosa or Catal. Walk and see the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano.
See the Laguna Vinto and the Anaconda Canyon. End the day at a hotel in Colcha K.
Day 3:
Early in the morning, head to the Uyuni Salt Flats. Watch the sunrise over the white salt flats. Visit the Incahuasi Island, a formation of calcareous rock that contains giant cacti and offers a great view of the salt flats.
Visit the Salt Museum and leave the salt flats through the town of Colchani. Stop to buy crafts before passing by the train cemetery to take some photos. Finally, arrive in Uyuni where your tour ends.
