Explore the Black Hills of South Dakota on a guided tour from Rapid City. Visit the quaint town of Keystone, ride the 1880 Train to Hill City, and enjoy free time to explore the town and have lunch.

Start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Rapid City and drive to the small town of Keystone. Spend at least 1½ hours visiting the many shops, or go to the Big Thunder Gold Mine or the Rushmore Borglum Story.

Head to the Keystone Train Depot to board the 1880 Train. The train ride is a one-hour, narrated 10-mile trip between Keystone and Hill City. Passengers view vistas of Harney Peak, mining encampments, and participate in good old-fashioned fun.

After the train ride, have lunch at any one of the restaurants in Hill City. Then, have free time to visit the shops, or go to the Black Hills Natural History Museum or the South Dakota Train Museum.

If you desire, stop at any or all of the three winery tasting rooms outside Hill City on the way back to Rapid City.
