What you can expect

  • Experience a Day in Picturesque Bavaria with This Van Tour from Munich

Embark on a scenic journey along the Romantic Road, through the heart of the Bavarian Alps. As you make your way to the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, you'll pass through charming, historic Bavarian villages and stunning countryside.

Upon arrival at Neuschwanstein, enjoy a guided tour of the 19th-century castle, built in the Romanesque Revival style. Perched high on a rugged hill, the castle offers commanding views of the village of Hohenschwangau below. From the Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge), take in breathtaking views of the fairy-tale castle.

Commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as a royal retreat and tribute to composer Richard Wagner, Neuschwanstein opened to the public after the king's death in 1886. Today, it welcomes over 1.3 million visitors each year. The castle has appeared in numerous films and served as the inspiration for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Stroll through a picturesque gorge with cascading waterfalls before heading back. On the return journey, you'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Wieskirche, a stunning 18th-century pilgrimage church.

You’ll also have the chance to visit a traditional Bavarian cheese farm, where you can opt for a delicious cheese and sausage platter served with freshly baked bread. Soak in the spectacular 360-degree mountain views from the farm.

    Please note:

-We will book all necessary tickets for you, so there is no need to reserve tickets yourself.

-Neuschwanstein Castle tickets are not included in the tour price. Please pay for these tickets in cash directly to the guide after the tour.

-Kids under the age of 17 years can enter for free.

-Lunch is not included in the tourprice.

-During the winter season (November to mid-April), the cheese farm is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As an alternative during weekdays, we use the Schlossbrauerei Schwangau (Bavarian beer hall).
