Leave Matera behind for a private wine experience in the countryside of Nova Siri, on Basilicata’s Ionian coast. Your driver will pick you up directly from your accommodation in Matera and take you to the historic Masseria Battifarano in a comfortable air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz sedan or minivan, depending on group size.

On arrival, begin with a walk through the estate’s vineyards and learn how the local climate, soil, and grape varieties shape the character of the wines produced here.

Continue inside the winery to discover the main stages of winemaking, from grape processing and fermentation to ageing, with a focus on the renowned Matera DOC and Basilicata I.G.T. wine production.

The experience ends with a guided tasting of three selected wines: a white Le Paglie, a rosè Akratos Rosato, and a red Akratos Rosso, accompanied by traditional local taralli.

After the tasting, relax on your private return transfer to Matera without having to worry about driving.
