The assistant/tour guide will brief you, about all details of your day.
Embark on a half-day journey to the stunning Ourika Valley, nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, just a short drive from Marrakech. This excursion begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel, provided it is accessible. If not, a meeting point will be arranged, and the details will be sent to you the evening before your trip.
As you leave the bustling city behind, you’ll venture into a picturesque mountain region rich in cultural heritage. Here, you’ll discover the traditional lifestyle of the Amazigh (Berber) people, whose vibrant culture and connection to the land have stood the test of time.
For those joining on a Monday or Thursday, you’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to visit a local souk (market), a rare and authentic glimpse into daily life in the valley. This bustling marketplace is where local Amazigh families purchase their food and essentials. En route to the valley, you may also opt for a brief stop at a women’s cooperative producing argan oil products, ranging from cosmetic goods to the famous Berber Nutella (Amlou), offering insight into the craftsmanship of the region.
The excursion continues as you arrive in Setti Fatma, a charming village at the heart of the valley. Here, a local guide will lead you on a one-hour hike to a breathtaking waterfall. For those who prefer not to hike, the serene riverside offers a tranquil retreat to relax and soak in the natural beauty. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal by the river before heading back to Marrakech, with an estimated arrival time of 5:00 PM.
