What you can expect

Experience the magnitude of Mount Everest on a 7 day trip to base camp. Let the local supplier take care of the planning, and concentrate on trekking the routes of the area. Take helicopter flights in the area, and walk part of the way up Everest.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport and be transferred to your hotel. Listen to an orientation in the evening, then enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Take an early morning flight to Lukla, the gateway to Khumbu region and start the trek. The trek continues uphill up-to Phakding and takes 3 or 4 hours. You will stop at Phakding.

Accommodation: Sherpa Shnagrila Resort
Meal: Breakfast
Activity: Trekking (3-4hrs)
Altitude: 2600 meters

Day 3: Trek to Namche
After breakfast, start a journey through a pine forest and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi river. Ascend on a steep trail and reach Namche Bazaar (5-6 hours), probably the biggest town in the Everest region.

Day 4: Acclimatization at Namche
To avoid altitude sickness, acclimatize in Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the most beautiful town of the Everest region. The place is occupied by a colorful market with ATMs, government offices, shops, and restaurants.

Day 5: Helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp/Kalapatthar
Start the day early to fully relish the magnificence of Mount Everest. Fly from Namche Bazaar over Everest Base Camp, Khubmu Glacier, and Kalapatthar with a helicopter and then head back to Lukla

Day 6: Fly back to Kathmandu and Kathmandu sightseeing tour
After breakfast, catch the early morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Take a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley and visit various sites.

Day 7: Departure from Kathmandu
