What you can expect

  • Getting from Keflavik International Airport to Reykjavik is simple and stress-free with our airport car service, which includes a stop at the world-famous Blue Lagoon. We provide convenient transportation to your accommodation in Reykjavik, or to the nearest designated bus stop, with service from professional, reliable, English-speaking guide.

The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most popular attractions, set in a striking lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland. Known for its warm, mineral-rich geothermal waters, it offers a unique and relaxing spa experience in an unforgettable natural setting.

The water in the lagoon comes from deep underground, where freshwater and seawater meet under intense heat around 2,000 meters below the earth’s surface. It is brought up through nearby geothermal operations at Svartsengi, where it is also used to generate electricity and hot water for local communities. Along the way, the water absorbs silica and other natural minerals before reaching the surface at a soothing temperature of 38–40°C (100–105°F), ideal for unwinding and recharging.

The drive from Keflavik Airport to the Blue Lagoon takes around 20 minutes, and the journey from the Blue Lagoon to Reykjavik is approximately 45 minutes. We’re also happy to offer flexibility with pickup timing, so you can enjoy your time at the lagoon without feeling rushed.

Please note that entry to the Blue Lagoon is limited and must be booked in advance. If you plan to enter the lagoon and bathe, pre-booking your admission ticket is essential.

Option 2: Stop at Sky Lagoon

Another relaxing stop from Keflavík International Airport (KEF) to Reykjavík is at the Sky Lagoon. You can unwind in geothermal waters overlooking the North Atlantic, experience Iceland’s signature spa ritual, and recharge after your flight before continuing on to the city refreshed and ready to explore. This trip will take you more or less the same time with that of the Blue Lagoon stop.
