What you can expect
Day 1 - Huacachina - Flight over the Nazca Lines - Bus to Arequipa
7 a.m. Our team will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the María Reich Nazca airfield where our pilots and co-pilots will be waiting for you to board a Cessna plane. The flight lasts 35 minutes and you will have one of the most unforgettable experiences of your adventure, observing the monkey, the spider, the condor, the hummingbird, the tree, the hands, the astronaut, the lizard, the pelican, and more. We will explore the Chauchilla cemetery, with mummies in their tombs covered with textiles and ceramics.We tour the Cantalloc aqueducts and learn how the engineers of the Nasca civilization built irrigation systems that are still used by farmers today.
- 10 pm we will board a luxury semi-bed bus with 160° reclining seats and heating, bound for Arequipa. During the trip you can sleep and wake up in the city of Arequipa at 8 am.
Day 2-Arequipa – City Tour
8 am arrival in Arequipa, early check-in and time to rest.
2 pm we will explore the city of Arequipa, visit the Santa Catalina Convent, considered the jewel of colonial architecture and one of the most important in the city, notable for its Spanish and Andean colonial style walls painted in bright blue, red, and white colors. Visit the Juanita Mummy Museum, which is very important because it is dedicated to Inca culture and ritual sacrifices in volcanoes. We will explore the San Camilo market, the most traditional and important market in Arequipa, a place full of flavors, local culture, and cuisine.
Day 3 – Chivay-Cruz del Condor-Cabanaconde- Llahuar
3:00 a.m. We will travel to Chivay for breakfast and to visit the Cruz del Condor viewpoint to watch the flight of the condors as they take off from one of the deepest canyons in the world. Next stop is Cabanaconde, the starting point for the trek to Llahuar. We descend into the Colca Canyon and stop at the Achachihua viewpoint to see the path that will take us to the Pacclla Geyser. After a 3-hour walk, we arrive at the Llahuar lodge with views of the Colca River and hot springs. We enjoy lunch and the hot spring pool.
Day 4 - Llahuar- Malata- San Galle Oasis.
At 9 a.m., we ascend 700 meters uphill to the Apacheta viewpoint, where we will take a break to enjoy the view of the landscape and the route we will continue on to the San Galle Oasis. Upon arrival, we will enjoy lunch with beautiful views of the green landscape surrounding our accommodation. We will be able to enjoy the pool for the rest of the afternoon.
Day 5 - San Galle Oasis - Cabanaconde - Chivay - Bus to Puno
At 5 a.m., we will begin our 3-hour climb to reach the town of Cabanaconde, where we will have breakfast and then board our bus to Chivay.
There will be free time for lunch, and then we will board the tourist bus to Puno (1 p.m.), arriving in Puno at 6 p.m. End of the experience.
