From the monumental traces of the Romans to the largest wine barrel in the world – we combine moderate hiking with top-class indulgence and the most spectacular vantage points in the region. Discover hand-picked wines from award-winning top wineries and premium organic quality right where the grapes grow. We dive into the heart of the German Wine Route and combine culture with exercise.

Your day begins with a comfortable pick-up at one of the meeting points in the region. In a small group of no more than 6 people, we will start at the Giant Barrel, the largest wine barrel in the world. Afterwards, we breathe in the healing sea breeze in one of the longest open-air inhalation facilities in Germany. Next, we will continue through the spa park to the tranquil city center with its Mediterranean flair.

After a lunch break that you can spend as you like, we set off on a roughly two-hour hike through the vineyards. Along the way, among the almond trees, we will taste two premium wines from an award-winning local top winemaker in historic surroundings. Here, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about old traditions and modern wine culture, with fantastic views of the surrounding area and the atmosphere of bygone times.

Back in Bad Dürkheim, we will take the van to the “Kaffeemühlchen” (Flag Tower). After a short hike, we will enjoy the view of the Rhine plain with a leisurely glass of wine.
