Transfer to the Countryside (30–45 minutes): Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo and take you to a nearby rural village. Enjoy views of the countryside and learn about local farming traditions along the way.

Vegetable Garden Harvest Experience (30 minutes): Visit a local family vegetable garden and discover how seasonal produce is grown in southern China.
Depending on the season, you may see and harvest vegetables such as:
Cucumbers, Green peppers, Eggplants, Pumpkins, Tomatoes, Green beans, Corn, etc.
Your local host will explain the growing process, seasonal farming practices, and the role these ingredients play in everyday Chinese cooking.

Family Cooking & Shared Meal (2–2.5 hours). After harvesting, visit a local family home. You'll have the opportunity to explore a traditional home kitchen, help with simple meal preparation, learn about local cooking habits and ingredients, watch some dishes being prepared. Then sit down with your hosts and enjoy a homemade meal in a relaxed family setting. The meal typically includes: fresh vegetables harvested from the garden, homemade Guilin specialties, seasonal dishes prepared with local ingredients, fresh fruit or a simple dessert. Menus vary depending on the season and ingredient availability.

Return to Your Hotel (30–45 minutes): After the experience, relax on the drive back to your hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo.
