Head to the meeting point in front of the Oriental Hotel Fukuoka (Lawson convenience store, near Hakata Station Chikushi Exit). Your friendly guide and comfy vehicle await—no stress, no planning, just good vibes ahead!
Depart from Fukuoka and head to Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan's top 3 castles(Ticket excluded). Admire its grand stone walls, towering keeps, and elegant palace. Stroll through Sakurano-baba Josaien, a charming Edo-style shopping street filled with tasty snacks and souvenirs.
Next, meet Kumamon, Kumamoto's super-cute mascot, at Kumamon Square. If the big guy is in, you might catch one of his live dance shows. (Round-trip walk takes about 30 mins—keep an eye on the clock!)
Time for some jaw-dropping nature. You’re heading to one of the world’s largest active volcanoes—Mount Aso! Depending on safety conditions, you may get up close to the steaming crater. It’s wild, it’s powerful, and it’s unforgettable.
Notice: The crater of Mount Aso is currently closed due to a helicopter accident. Visitors can only view it from a distance and are not allowed to go up. The reopening time will be subject to official announcements.
Wander through Kusasenri, a dreamy green plateau where cows and horses roam freely. Try a gentle horseback ride across the grasslands, no experience needed. Pop into the Aso Volcano Museum to learn how this volcanic wonderland came to be, with live footage from the crater and super cool displays.(Ticket excluded).
