Day 1: Depart early in the morning to leave Djerba via ferry. Cross the city of El Hamma to the salt lake of Chott Djerid, the largest salt lake in North Africa. Heading to the mountain oasis, your visit will begin with the Berber village of Chebika, famous for its spring water. Then to Mides at the edge of the great canyons, where you can enjoy the peace and serenity. Enjoy local food at a guesthouse before the real adventure begins.

Cross the salt lake of Chott El Gharsa towards Mos Espa the biggest Star Wars set in Tunisia. Fasten your belts as your driver will make you dream with some stunts between the tracks and the sand dunes. At the end of the day and after watching the sunset over the dunes, enjoy a cup of tea with a view of the Basket of Nefta, before heading to bed.

Day 2: Following a good breakfast at the hotel, head out for a walk in the alleys of Tozeur’s old medina in the company of your knowledgeable guide. Enjoy hand made products, and the smell of local vegetables and fruits. Leaving Tozeur behind the adventure continues but this time further south, towards Douz the desert’s gate. Enjoy free time in the market and the opportunity to enjoy a camel or quad bike ride in the dunes before having lunch at a local restaurant.

After the meal you will have an hour drive to Tamazret, a traditional Berber village for a brief stop before Matmata. Discover Matmata the troglodyte village with its houses underground, its Berber inhabitants, and its lunar landscapes. See in real life the set from your favourite Star Wars scenes. Visit the village of Toujane for your final stop, this village that has the color of the earth and is hidden timidly between two mountains.
