What you can expect

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valley, head to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy a 1 hour and 45 minute journey, on the way enjoy panoramic views of the Andes and the lush jungle from the train window. Travel along the banks of the sacred river of the Incas “Vilcanota”.

Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting for you at the exit of the train station. Together, you will board the bus that will take you on a 30 minutes ride to the entrance of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Enjoy a self-paced tour of this historic citadel, explore each highlight such as the Main Square, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Temple of the Condor, the Intihuatana, among others. Take a photo at the lookout point while contemplating the breathtaking scenery.

After the visit, take some free time in Aguas Calientes to explore the town and enjoy lunch before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
