This exceptional tour will be as follows:
Day 1:
11:00 p.m. Pick-up from your accommodation and departure to the city of Nuevo Tingo (Kuélap). We'll pass through the districts of Celendín (Cajamarca) and Leymebamba (Amazonas).
Day 2:
7:00 a.m. Arrival in Nuevo Tingo. Breakfast (on your own).
7:30 a.m. Transfer to the cable car terminal to Kuélap.
8:00 a.m. Bus transfer from the boarding station to Platform No. 1; cable car transport from Platform No. 1 to Platform No. 2.
8:25 a.m. Arrival and visit to the Kuélap citadel, called La Fortaleza and built on top of a high mountain. It's the most important archaeological complex in the Peruvian mountainous jungle. It appears to the visitor as an impregnable place, surrounded by cliffs and precipices on three of its four sides, built in an area of beautiful landscapes that combine the heights of the Andes and the Amazon rainforest, creating an incomparable spectacle. Kuelap is made up of two gigantic overlapping artificial platforms, on which a city was built that covers an approximate area of 450 hectares. In general, and seen from the air, its shape resembles an elongated bird's wing, measuring approximately 584 meters long by 120 meters wide; according to some specialists, 25,000,000 cubic meters of material were used in its construction.
11:30 a.m. Cable car descent from Platform No. 2 to Platform No. 1; bus transfer from Platform 1 to the Boarding Station in the town of Nuevo Tingo. We'll take you to a restaurant.
12:00 pm. Lunch in Nuevo Tingo (on your own).
1:00 p.m. Head back to Cajamarca.
9:00 PM. Arrival in Cajamarca and transfer to the hotel.
