Begin your adventure in Barbarano Romano, a charming village made of volcanic red rock. From there, head to Marturanum Regional Park, where you’ll explore ancient Etruscan pathways carved into the rock and visit their tombs.

Follow the Valloni path, which will take you through a lush landscape reminiscent of an Italian jungle. Along the way, discover the ruins of old mills, admire the beautiful waterfalls of Biedano, and explore impressive natural caves.

If you’re up for a longer journey, continue to Blera, another picturesque Italian village. This area was once part of the ancient Clodia’s Way that led to Rome or Rosellae (now Grosseto in Tuscany).

On the plateau above the Biedano Valley, walk along an old railway line that has been transformed into a path for people and bicycles. Enjoy the wild Mediterranean hills and keep an eye out for free-roaming wild donkeys.
