Set off for a unique adventure in the heart of Java, to discover the active volcano Kawah Ijen, accompanied by a passionate professional guide. Thanks to his perfect knowledge of the terrain, he will lead you to the best viewpoints and help you discover the history, geology, and local traditions linked to this extraordinary site.

Traveling solo? This tour is ideal for meeting other travelers while enjoying a guided and safe adventure. Our mixed groups also welcome couples and families – everyone shares the magic of Kawah Ijen together.

Departure is from Bali: 1:00 PM from Seminyak and 2:00 PM from “Canggu - Mengwi - Ubud” (Indomaret Mengwitani) (pick-up point for people coming from Canggu, Mengwi, and Ubud). You will then cross lush landscapes to reach East Java. In the early evening, you will enjoy a local dinner and get some rest in your room before the night ascent.

Early in the night, you head toward the summit of the volcano, located at 2,370 meters above sea level. You descend into the crater to admire a rare, fascinating, and unique natural spectacle: the blue flames. You will also witness the impressive work of the sulfur porters, in an extraordinary mineral setting.

At dawn, you will watch the sunrise over the largest acid lake in the world, whose turquoise colors gradually appear. This powerful moment will stay etched in your memory.

Everything is planned so you can fully enjoy the experience: round-trip transport from Bali, dinner (vegetarian and halal), hotel room, complete equipment, passionate guides, and a tasty homemade Javanese breakfast make this a turnkey adventure.

Free drop-off point “Canggu - Mengwi - Ubud” (Indomaret Mengwitani, drop-off point for people heading to Canggu, Mengwi, and Ubud) +/- 5:00 pm, and finally Seminyak +/- 7:00 pm.
Duration: between 20 and 30 hours, depending on your point of departure and arrival.
