Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in the historic center of Arequipa. Head southeast, stopping first at the Mirador de los Volcanes to admire the city’s guardian volcanoes and the pre-Inca terraces of Chiguata, a traditional village.
Continue to Chiguata to visit its main church, dedicated to the Holy Spirit, and explore the main square. Next, stop at the entrance to the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to see the Queñua forest and the Yareta plant, once used as fuel.
