What you can expect

Saddle up and ride OFF the tourist trail… Welcome to an off-the-beaten path, back-country, get dirty, horseback adventure. We leave Antigua for a scenic drive through the surrounding mountains, and arrive at a nearby active volcano…

Then we RIDE. We ride through rugged paths on volcanic terrain, farmland, and trails used only by villagers. Along the way, we pass through Guatemalan pueblos, waving hello to friendly families who are excited to see us. The landscapes are epic, the experience is real.

Wanna ride fast? Experienced riders will find plenty of open stretches where we can safely pick up speed.. Stop along the route for a cold beer (or two), we 'salud' cheers to locals at a tienda. Later we refuel at a traditional 'comedor' where we have lunch the way families here eat every day.

You’re in good hands, our local guides grew up here. They know the horses, they know the trails. Expect dust, adventure, and culture.

For reservations made within 24 hours of the tour start time, we will do our best to accommodate your request; however, availability cannot be guaranteed and may require rescheduling or cancellation on our end.

*** TRAVELING SOLO? CONTACT US! Our standard price is for 2+ people. If you are traveling solo, contact us and we’ll try to pair you with another group to avoid the extra cost.

*** Dates that are related to Semana Santa (Easter Week) we are not always able to pickup from your exact accommodation because of road closures. You may have to meet us at a nearby pickup point.
