Your day trip starts in Talloires, one of the most beautiful villages on the lake. During a guided walk of about an hour, discover its peaceful streets, its history, its abbey, and its magnificent panoramas of the turquoise waters of Lake Annecy. Several photo stops will allow you to fully enjoy the scenery.
You will then head to the Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, home to the same family for more than 1,000 years. Overlooking the lake, this castle is said to have inspired Walt Disney for the famous Sleeping Beauty castle.
Once there, you're free to choose the experience that suits you best:
Visit the interior of the castle with a guided visit offered in French or English (entry ticket: €12 per adult, payable directly on site).
Or enjoy the estate, the gardens, and the magnificent vantage points overlooking Lake Annecy at your leisure, while enjoying a picnic, a snack, or a drink at the chateau's snack bar.
