Depart from Coral Sea Marina North and sail across Whitsunday Passage, named by Captain Cook, as the yacht sets sail for a day of relaxation. Morning tea is served as the vessel reaches Hook Passage and the first of the Whitsunday Islands. Sail down the largest island, Whitsunday Island, headed for Tongue Bay. Anchor at Tongue and walk up to Hill Inlet lookout for the most spectacular view of a beach anywhere in the world. Then head down to wriggle your toes in the silicate sand when even on the hottest of days, it never gets hot. Lie in the shallows or take a plunge in the turquoise waters and you may see a turtle or two. Then it's back to MiLady for a beautiful picnic lunch on the way to an enchanted snorkelling spot. Slip into the underwater fairyland below and marvel at the beautiful tropical fish and colours of the coral.
Then lie back and relax as you head, homeward bound, to Airlie Beach, and the sails catch the wind. Feast on an afternoon fruit platter – and why not have a drink from the licensed bar? This trip is ideal to do with a group of close friends or family for a day to remember.
