What you can expect

  • Visit Fatehpur Sikri, once the proud capital of the Mughal Empire, established by Emperor Akbar in the 1570s. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as the “City of Victory,” showcases a magnificent blend of Islamic and Hindu architectural elements.

    Constructed primarily from red sandstone, the city features an impressive array of monuments, palaces, mosques, and temples. Perched atop a rocky ridge and encircled by sturdy walls, Fatehpur Sikri reflects Akbar's vision of cultural and religious unity.

    Though it thrived briefly as a political hub, the city was mysteriously abandoned by the early 17th century. Today, it remains a beautifully preserved testimony to Akbar's architectural legacy, with local communities living just beyond its ancient walls.
