What you can expect

  • We set off from the Tyrrhenian cycle path in Forte dei Marmi, also ride along the new one in Cinquale, and then join Via Romantica, which takes us along the banks of the Versilia River. After 4 “bumpy” kilometers on the dirt road, we reach the lake, which we can admire from atop the embankments.
    The route along the lake is easy, and we can alternate it with stretches of paved road. The entire route covers about 17 km. The route can be modified by making a detour south to Forte dei Marmi or north to Poveromo (to see Alpebella Villa Bocelli, formerly a dance club in the 1960s).
