Fort Kniepass has been a border post on the route between Austria and Germany since the 14th century. Not least for this reason, the adventure trail, which climbs approximately 55 meters from the valley up to and through the fortifications of Fort Kniepass, deals with the topic of “borders.” Equipped with the “KniePASS” booklet, visitors pass through twelve stations as they ascend to the fortification. There is a special game for children: In their “KniePASS,” they collect rock pictures and solve puzzles.
