Set in the heart of Florence, just behind Palazzo Vecchio, the Museum is located inside the splendid monumental complex of San Firenze, a rare example of late Baroque architecture in the city. Here, through the works of Franco Zeffirelli, one of the great protagonists of 20th-century international entertainment, visitors will be introduced to an engaging back-stage that will reveal to them the secrets of the world of Drama, Opera and Cinema. The sight of the gorgeous sketches and detailed models of lavish sets, sumptuous costumes, along with stage photos, and the immersive experience inside two multimedia rooms will transport the visitor into a world dominated by beauty and imagination.
Opened in 2017 by the will of the director-scenographer himself, the museum displays about 350 works spanning more than 70 years of performing arts history in the company of the biggest names in international film, opera and stage drama.
