This is a fantastic choice for intermediate and experienced riders looking for a longer, more immersive day in the saddle. You’ll ride through the beautiful countryside northwest of Filandia, following scenic country lanes across some of Quindío’s most stunning valleys.

Along the way, pass coffee plantations, pastureland with cows, horses, and mules, and bamboo forests alive with birds and butterflies. You’ll also travel through remote rural villages, where you can experience a more authentic side of Colombia and see how local families live and build using traditional materials.

After around 3 hours of riding, you’ll arrive at the river, where the horses can cool off in the water and you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear mountain river if you wish. Relax on the riverbank with a picnic lunch and a beer before setting off on another scenic ride back through the valley.
