Our guide, Said, was luckily available for a last minute booking. Our first day in Fes we walked around by ourselves and got lost several times. The next day, Said picked us up from our Riad and showed us parts of the Medina we could never find ourselves. He explained the history of how the city was founded and built over the centuries and explained the cultural significance of little details that we would never have noticed, as well as teaching us how to find our way. We were able to wander without a map for the rest of the day without getting lost. This tour is very well priced and noticeably improved the rest of our time in Fes.
