These two islands have served as the home and workplace of hundreds of people and as the place of military service for thousands of soldiers. Fortifications, buildings, and a record-breaking range of species tell a tale of coexistence between humans and wild nature. Just take a trip to these mysterious islands on which time seems to stand still.

Suitable for the entire family. While the islands are accessible for prams, the trails are not unobstructed, as the terrain is uneven and the uphill sections are steep.

Watch out for our Frs Finland-signs, present your ticket to the staff and board the ferry to Vallisaari. Many flexible departures per day and snacks and drinks available for purchase onboard. Enjoy a cup of coffee or cold beer on our sun deck and let yourself be pampered by our friendly staff. You can spend as much time at the destination as you like. The ticket includes transportation from the Market Square to Vallisaari fortress island and back. Frequency of departures is 60 minutes and the trip takes about 15 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Helsinki Archipelago. Beverages and snacks available on board for purchase. Please follow signs at the island for the departure pier, which is not the same as the arrival pier. Departure pier is close to the boat marina.
