Start by visiting our shop in Ferragudo, where our team will provide all the necessary equipment and explain the river route before you begin. You will also receive a river map, so you can explore independently and at your own pace.
The river is just a short walk from our shop. From there, you can paddle along the water and enjoy views of Ferragudo village, Forte de São João, golden cliffs and peaceful beach spots along the way.
Before you start, our team will explain the river route and give you a map, so you can paddle safely and easily at your own pace. Along the way, you can stop for photos, a swim, a picnic or a relaxing beach break.
The rental duration is 4 hours, giving you enough time to paddle, stop for photos, enjoy a swim or relax at a quiet beach spot before returning the equipment.
Choose between a kayak or a stand up paddle board and enjoy a simple, fun and scenic activity suitable for couples, friends and families. This is a self-guided rental, not a guided tour, so you are free to enjoy the river at your own rhythm.
Kayaks are suitable for 2 people and may also fit one small child if there is enough space and the total weight does not exceed 170 kg. Stand up paddle boards are for one person only.
All rentals include a life vest (mandatory), waterproof bag, waterfproof phone pouch and river map. You can also leave your belongings safely at our shop if needed. Snorkeling masks are available to rent for an extra fee.
