Teresa, born and raised in Syracuse, welcomes you into her home to share her family recipes and the authentic flavors of Sicilian cuisine. During this hands-on experience, you will prepare three different types of fresh pasta from scratch, using local flour, fresh eggs and seasonal ingredients. You will learn two traditional pasta doughs and three sauces, which may include fresh and seasonal vegetables, If there are any ingredients you don't like or prefer to avoid, please let Teresa know when you book. This is much more than a cooking class. You will discover local ingredients, traditional techniques and the secrets of Sicilian home cooking — just like cooking together in a family. Dopo cucinare, rilassati e goditi un bicchiere di vino locale e l'autentica ospitalità siciliana. You can also add a guided visit to the Ortigia Market, at an extra cost of €50 per person, payable in cash. If you are looking for a truly local experience, where you can cook, share and feel at home, this is the perfect way to experience Sicily. Looking for a place to stay in Ortigia? Teresa recommends "Casa Veneto Sea View" on Via Vittorio Veneto 197 — a comfortable, welcoming apartment.Ask Teresa for information.
