Your adventure begins at Lough Tay, one of Ireland’s most photographed spots, also known as the Guinness Lake because of its dark peaty waters and creamy white sand beach resembling a pint of Guinness. Learn about the Guinness family estate, the celebrities who have stayed here, and the scenes from iconic productions filmed in this valley — from Vikings to Irish Wish. Enjoy a short walk and panoramic views of the lake surrounded by heather-covered mountains and stone walls. Perfect for photography and quiet reflection.

Dublin Mountains

Continue your scenic drive through the Wicklow Mountains National Park, tracing routes featured in the movie Braveheart.  You’ll stop at the scenic “PS I Love You” bridge, where one of the film’s most romantic scenes was shot. Take a leisurely stroll through the mountain landscape — wild, dramatic, and unmistakably Irish — just like the movie’s characters did.

Roundwood

Arrive in Roundwood, Ireland’s highest village, known for its laid-back charm and honest Irish flavours.  Here you’ll enjoy a breakfast stop of Irish scones or pastry or sourdough with cheese paired with tea or coffee of your choice.  Everything is made from locally sourced ingredients, bursting with freshness and flavour — served in an authentic, welcoming atmosphere. A lot of locals have breakfast there too. This is a perfect food stop where you can chat with locals, soak up the rural ambience, and experience Irish hospitality at its best.
