Kandy being the Last Kingdom of Sri Lanka, has many things to offer it's visitors. It includes the history, rich culture, ancient buildings, places with archaeological values top on the beautiful surrounding. Word Kandy in inherited from the Sinhala word ā€œKandaā€ meaning the hilly area. As the name says, it's a hilly area surrounded by a set of beautiful mountains.
Temple of the sacred tooth relic is considered as one of the main places in Sri Lanka to visit. Probably it's the most important temple for any Buddhist live in any country of the world.
