Your tour guide will meet you at the port of Le Havre and take you on an air-conditioned van for a 1.5-hour drive through the Normandy countryside. During the trip, they will recount the life of Claude Monet and the beginnings of Impressionism to prepare you for your visit.
Upon arrival in Giverny, you will be immersed in Monet's house: the blue living room, the studio, the yellow dining room, and the spectacular collection of Japanese prints come to life thanks to the guide's explanations. You will then walk through the flower-filled gardens: tulip or dahlia beds depending on the season, a central path bursting with color, and the iconic water lily pond and Japanese bridge, photographed from every angle.
After this sensory experience, you will have free time for lunch or coffee in the flower-filled streets of the village. Your guide will then meet you at the Musée des Impressionnismes for a guided tour of the temporary exhibitions (Monet, Renoir, Berthe Morisot, etc.) and the permanent collection, which place Giverny in the artistic context of the late 19th century.
Before leaving, you will have the opportunity to stroll through the artisan shops, taste some Norman cider, or photograph the stone houses covered with hollyhocks. Return to Le Havre in comfort at the end of the afternoon, with bucolic photos et objets perdus.
