Please be aware the Volcano guides speak Spanishand very little English. We depart at 7am from San Salvador. We arrive at 8:15 am to the start of the trail. We can stop by a shop to buy water and snacks. This is a private hike, only you will participate in the guided hike up to the summit. The distance to the summit is 3.7 km (2.5 miles) and the elevation gain is 500 mts (1500ft). It should take around 1 hour to get up to the summit. We stay for a moment at the summit for pictures and a snack and then we return to the vehicle. After we are done we can have some food on the way or a beer with a great view of Lake Coatepeque.
