Also other historical sites are Koofan Heritage house, to see the 150 years old Dhofari house. A new attraction, Burj Al Askar is at the top of the cliff, overlooking the castle and coast. Entrance for Taqa Castle (OMR 3), Koofan House (OMR 1) and Burj Al Askar (OMR 1) is to be paid on the place where you want to enter. Entrance is optional.
• Enjoy a scenic drive through Taqa's bustling streets, giving you a glimpse of everyday life in this vibrant Omani town. See the fisherman on the coastal area and a lot of birds.
• Pause at a tranquil beach and relish the stunning panoramic views from the clifftop, taking in the breathtaking surroundings.
• Travel to Wadi Darbat, a natural wonder that will leave you in awe. Witness cascading waterfalls nestled beneath the majestic Jabal Al Qara mountains. This is the most visited place in Southern Oman and a must when you are in Salalah.
